What to Expect at Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity is a Lutheran church belonging to the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Visiting a new church can feel overwhelming. Here’s what you can expect when you visit Holy Trinity.
Service Times
Our services are at 9am on Sundays and 7pm on Wednesday evenings. The Wednesday service is the same readings, hymns, and sermon as the previous Sunday’s service, and is designed for those who can’t make the Sunday service. Services are also livestreamed and available to watch at any time on our YouTube page.

Services
Our services follow a traditional liturgical format, including Bible readings, a sermon, prayers, and hymns. Everything is displayed on the screen for easy participation, and hymnals are available in the pews if you prefer musical notation. Music not included in the hymnal is included as an insert in the worship folder, which will be handed to you by an usher on your way into the sanctuary.
Our services typically last about an hour.

What should I wear?
People dress in a range from casual to more traditional—wear what you’re comfortable in.
Where do I sit?
Feel free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable in the sanctuary. If you need assistance, there are ushers stationed who can help you. Additional seating is available in the balcony above the sanctuary.
What about my kids?
Children are always welcome in the service. We have a designated room with toys and a TV playing the livestream of the service if you need to step out of the service with your child. It is down the hallway in the first classroom on the left, with a sign that says “Dove Room”.
We invite children preschool-8th grade to join us for Sunday school following the service.
What is a liturgical service?
A liturgical service follows a structured order of worship used by Christians for centuries. In it, God serves us through His Word and Sacraments, and we respond with prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. The structure ensures that Christ is proclaimed and praised during every service.
What do you believe?
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The list of the synod’s beliefs can be found here.
Communion
Communion is distributed on the first and third Sundays of the month.
We celebrate communion regularly as an important part of our worship. Holy Trinity practices “close communion” meaning only members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) or the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) are invited to participate in this part of our services. By asking you to refrain we are in no way judging your personal faith in Christ.
Those who are members can expect to be ushered up row by row to stand at the front of the pews for communion distribution.
Offering
We collect an offering during each service to support our ministry at Holy trinity and throughout the world.
Visitors are under no obligation or expectation to contribute to our offering.

After the service
After the service, we invite you to stay for coffee, snacks, and conversation. It’s a great opportunity to meet others and ask questions.
Fellowship and refreshments
After the service, many members and visitors gather in the narthex outside of the sanctuary for fellowship. We have a coffee bar available and light snacks on most Sundays. We welcome you to come meet us after the service.
Adult Bible class
During the school year, Adult Bible class will follow the service starting at approximately 10:20am in the sanctuary. Join us as we dig deeper into God’s word through structured questions led by Pastor Schamber.
Sunday school
During the school year, Sunday school is held for kids aged preschool-8th grade in the classrooms down the hall immediately following the service.
